Why did I start Allternative Gym?

I am the mother of a child with cerebral palsy. I think about the time – just a few short years away – when she’ll be in her late teens. Would she still be going to therapy? And if she’d been discharged from therapy, where would she go to continue the good healthy foundation we’d built through therapy.

A gym would be ideal, but would she feel comfortable going to a regular gym filled with perfect young men and women exercising normally? Probably not.

Would she continue to stay fit and lead a healthy lifestyle if she had somewhere to go where she did feel at home? Absolutely. And so, the Allternative Gym dream was born. I made it my mission to learn and experience a wide range of therapies and treatments. Armed with that knowledge, hands-on training, and personal motivation, I have what it takes to deliver a unique form of fitness.
